100th Day of School

My daughter had to wear something for the 100th day of school. At first I was thinking what in the world is she going to wear. So of course, I let my fingers do the walking and hit the WWW. I found numerous projects, that I didn't really have time for. Although there were a few that didn't really didn't take up much time such as making a necklace out of 100 Cherrios or Fruit Loops. I couldn't just settle for average. So I stayed up late the night before she had to wear the item and made her a shirt of 100 ribbons. Of course before I completed the shirt I had to get her permission. There is nothing like an angry 3 year old in the morning when they don't want to wear what you have chosen for them to wear. So after I got her permission here is how it turned out.

Junk Drawer Organization

I was inspired by what I saw over at A Bowl Full of Lemons and Organizing Junkie. They have tons of organizing projects going on right now and tips to help get your home organized. I am so busy with two little ones that I need all of the organizing tips I can get. A few extra hands won't hurt either. Anyway, I decided to stop by my local dollar store and pick up some baskets to help organize our junk drawer in our kitchen. Everybody has one of those. It's just a catch all for things you need when you need them. So here are my before and after shots. I am proud of my accomplishmebnt and I just hope that we can keep it this way.
